I went to my first trade fair today - Stitches at the NEC. I didn't have a huge amount of time, and have spent such a lot on new stock this month I didn't have much to spend either, but it was well worth the visit and I am very excited about it all! I went with a few specific things in mind: 1) I wanted to stop by at Scrapgenie and say hi in person to Sarah Youde - we email often but I really wanted to put a face to the name and say hello in person. She's just as lovely as I thought so I was pleased I had made the effort. Also said hi to Tracie Hudson who was there with Sarah - what a fab job, they had big boxes of stuff to play with and just sat and scrapped all day long! 2) I wanted to meet in person all the people at the different suppliers that I talk to on the phone or on email - and I did - I met the girls at Trimcraft, Bramwells, Future Publishing and a couple more., including Marie at Scrapgenie who I swear tried to hide when she saw me, but I tracked her down!! LOL! 3) I wanted to find some more suppliers - and again I achieved it! Chatted to some companies to supply ribbons and buttons and am very excited about the lovely finishing touches I will be able to add to my kits. Also some lovely people at Stampbox, and Cardology, both of whom had some gorgeous items which I am sure will make an appearance on bellaboo. 4) And lastly, I bought myself at Cricut Expression. This is SO fab! I plan to take it to the crop with me (once I have figured it out!) so everyone can use it while they are there. It will be delivered to me soon and I just can't wait!
I saw some gorgeous items from Collage Press - fab journaling cards and some nice papers. Creative Impressions had an amazing display of ribbons, and the new releases from Rusty Pickle, MME, Love Elsie and Daisy Bucket were all to die for. Once I start spending again I won't know where to start!
GTG now, I am all fired up to actually DO some scrapping!
